Security

The other day (when I was sick on the couch) I was trying to say a rosary. As I was saying the 'Glory Be' I just had this wonderful sense of security. "All glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit as is was in the beginning, now and ever shall be..." The same God I pray to today was always there and He will always be there. He's never going to leave, never going to change, never going to be anything other than who He is! I mean, people worry so much about investing their time in 'worthwhile' things. Well, my God isn't going anywhere and He will never change and become somebody I didn't expect. He'll always be there just the same. We have such security in Him :)

  1. Lovely, beautiful thoughts :) I've often felt exactly the same way when I get to that part of the Holy Rosary... 'Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto...' I think that one quote from Sacred Tradition and another from Sacred Scripture express our confidence in Almighty, Eternal God and His Holy Mother perfectly:

"There is a perfect Trinity, in glory and eternity and sovereignty, neither divided nor estranged. Wherefore there is nothing either created or in servitude in the Trinity; nor anything superinduced, as if at some former period it was non-existent, and at some later period it was introduced. And thus neither was the Son ever wanting to the Father, nor the Spirit to the Son; but without variation and without change, the same Trinity abides forever."- St. Gregory of Neocaesarea, A.D. 250

    St. Gregory, pray for us!

"But the Lord Almighty has foiled them by the hand of a Woman...I will sing to my God a new song: O Lord, thou are great and glorious, wonderful in strength, invincible. Let all thy creatures serve thee, for thou didst Speak, and they were made. Thou didst send forth thy Spirit, and it formed them; there is none that can resist thy Voice."- Judith 16:6, 13-14

The Lord Almighty foiled Satan and all his works, ways, hordes, and pomp by the hand of Our Mother, who now reigns as Queen of Heaven and Earth in the midst of Almighty God: the Father, His Voice/Word, and His Spirit.
