Falling Even more in love with You...
"Desperate for changing Starving for truth
I'm closer to where I started
Chasing after You
I'm falling even more in love with You
Letting go of all I've held onto
I'm standing here until You make me move
I'm hanging by a moment here with You
Forgetting all I'm lacking
Completely incomplete
I'll take Your invitation
You take all of me now...
I'm falling even more in love with You
Letting go of all I've held onto
I'm standing here until You make me move
I'm hanging by a moment here with You
I'm living for the only thing I know
I'm running and not quite sure where to go
And I don't know what I'm diving into
Just hanging by a moment here with You."

To pray...
"To pray is to talk to God, but about what? About Him, about yourself; joys, sorrows, successes, and failures, noble ambitions, daily worries, weaknesses! And acts of thanksgiving and petitions: and Love and reparation. In a word: to get to know Him and to get to know yourself: to get acquainted."

My Mother, My confidence!
Mary dear,
you are my mother.
Please take my hand
and tell me where to go
who to see
and what to say.
Please don't let go
of my hand,
Mary dear,
because I need you
and I will always
love you.
Amen.

Peace.
Peace is that Joy through the struggle and pain,
The soft hope that things will be calm once again.
Peace is that moment with the walls falling in
And you feel so trapped with the guilt and the sin...
But you find the strength to hold on to Hope.
You feel this warmth building up in your heart,
Giving you the power to fight and to cope.
Peace is there when you can make a new start.
Peace is not found in infatuation nor luck.
Peace never leaves. And it shines through the dark.
While I was writing this poem I was thinking about something one of the speakers said at the Steubenville youth conference this summer. The theme was "Rooted in Christ" and the speaker was talking about how our Faith is not just feelings or "spiritual highs". She compared it to the ocean. No matter what the surface looks like down at the very bottom of the ocean it is always completely calm and peaceful. Even if on the surface a storm is raging and waves are crashing at the deepest part of the ocean there is still calm. There is still peace. So in our lives, even if there is confusion and chaos we can still have the deep, real sense of peace that our God loves us and He is in total control. We can have peace trusting in Him.

Sonnet
Valiant warrior of strength enduring;
Of courage and devotion unsurpassed.
Your firm love forever reassuring,
A flawless shelter till troubles have past.
My protector, the fiercest of lovers,
Fearlessly fighting for my guarded heart;
Relentless till, as Yours, is recovered,
Soon my walls of fear and doubt fall apart.
Gently with Your correction so tender,
You grant me Your strength and teach me the Truth.
How can I show love owed to such splendor?
To You, my guardian before my youth.
Ultimate healer, my merciful Lord,
May You be so passionately adored.
